BIOGRAPHY

Marco Cosentino is an Italian contemporary artist, born in 1993, who has been living and working in London since 2012.

Working primarily with acrylics and, more recently, oil paints, he creates vibrant, whimsical, and richly detailed paintings.

His practice combines traditional artistic techniques with modern digital tools, resulting in works that feel both timeless and contemporary.

Blending humor with heartfelt storytelling, Marco's paintings invite viewers into his imaginative worlds filled with character, color, feelings, and narrative.

His works have been featured on various online platforms and exhibited in galleries and exhibitions across London and Manchester.

STATEMENT

Each painting represents the moment I’m living while I am working on it. That’s why looking at them in chronological order is like looking at a photo album of my life.

However, not everything in my works come from real life, because to balance the vulnerability of completely opening myself up, is necessary to include several fictional elements.

Partly to protect myself and partly for fun, so the viewer can wonder, "What is real and what is not?”

I don’t paint to create aesthetically beautiful objects.
I don’t paint to invent something new.
I don’t paint to be original.
I don’t paint to be liked.
I don’t paint to sell.

I paint to SURVIVE.
I paint to MOVE ON.
